Spiral Drillers was founded in 1971 by present managing director, Brian Hannah.
As with so many kiwi businesses, the growth of Spiral Drillers began with one enthusiastic man and his wife.
Brian Hannah’s business, drilling and contracting life began when he left his automotive technician specialty fields and applied his practical expertise to the company he founded in 1971 drilling in the rural community.
Business expanded as the small company gained in reputation and Brian saw opportunities to provide a better service and superior end product.
With the growth of the company under Brian’s leadership the emphasis is now on difficult, large or specialised drilling and piling applications.
A key factor in the companies growth and success has been innovation.
When confronted with a major on-site obstacle the company has typically responded by designing and constructing its own specialised equipment to do the job. It is clear that the “Kiwi ingenuity” which built this country is well and truly alive and well in Brian Hannah and his team.
Brian continues to drive the company – still with a passion for machinery, but now leaves the operational side to his very efficient team.
